"Stevens Institute of Technology announced today that 19 new members have joined its faculty cohort for academic year 2016-17, hailing from such institutions as Stanford, Carnegie Mellon and UNC-Chapel Hill.
Mehmet Kurt joins Stevens as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bogazici University in Turkey and a doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in mechanical engineering. His research interests include biomechanics, biomedical devices and structural health monitoring. Prior to joining Stevens he served as a postdoctoral scholar in the bioengineering department at Stanford University, where he researched the biomechanics of brain injury."
