Stevens Institute of Technology launched the new Center for Neuromechanics in the Schaefer School of Engineering & Science. Dr. Mehmet Kurt founded this new center and will serve as its director. This new facility is dedicated to applying the fundamental principles of mechanics and engineering to understand the function, structure, and health of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.

Our recent paper titled Isolation and Immunofluorescent Staining of Fresh Rat Pia-Arachnoid Complex Tissue for Mechanical Characterization was featured on the cover of the journal Current Protocols in Neuroscience Volume 89, Issue 1. Congratulations to the first authors Zeynep and Gloria!
